Overview: The East Course at Grandvert Kyoto Golf Club is one of two 18-hole routings in Accordia's 36-hole facility in Kyotamba, north of Kyoto. It plays to par 72 and measures 6,521 yards from the blue tees. Fukuichi Kato is credited with the overall design. The East route is the more strategic side of the property in the operator's description, with a balanced mix of par fives, long par fours and water-aware approach decisions. It is a public course that can fit naturally into a Kyoto or Osaka golf itinerary.
History: Grandvert Kyoto opened in 1995 and was built as a 36-hole operation, with East and West courses offering different levels of challenge. Current Accordia material confirms that both remain active, and the East scorecard is separately mapped from the West route. That separation is important for a directory profile: the target is not the entire club but the East 18-hole routing.
Did You Know? The official East card marks the 14th as a recommended long-drive hole and the 16th as a nearest-to-pin hole. The blue tees total 3,212 yards on the outward nine and 3,309 on the inward nine, so the second half is slightly longer. The course's practical character is therefore a combination of accessible scoring chances and a back nine that asks for a little more from the longer clubs.
