Overview: Grandover East is the first of two 18-hole resort courses at Grandover Resort in Greensboro. David Graham and Gary Panks designed the course across a broad, landscaped property, with resort access and the East routing kept distinct from Grandover West.
History: The East Course opened in March 1996, when Grandover Resort also opened its hotel and conference operation. Grandover's current golf material identifies Graham and Panks as designers and describes East and West as separate championship courses at the same facility.
Did You Know? East was the first Grandover course to open. The resort's own history gives March 1996 for that opening, while the East course page distinguishes it from the later companion West routing.
