Overview: Grande Oaks Golf Club is a private 18-hole course in Davie, near Fort Lauderdale, built on rolling terrain among mature Spanish oaks and Australian pines. The course measures 6,680 yards from the tips at par 71, with tree-lined fairways, Bermuda surfaces and a secluded South Florida setting.
History: The property began in 1959 as Rolling Hills Country Club. After Wayne Huizenga purchased it in 1999, Raymond Floyd fully redesigned the course and the club took the Grande Oaks name; the site also became famous as the filming location for Caddyshack in 1979 and 1980.
Did You Know? Grande Oaks is known as the home of Caddyshack because the original Rolling Hills course and its grounds supplied locations for the film, linking a private golf club to one of golf's best-known comedies.
