Overview: Sabal/Grand is an 18-hole combination from Grand Palms Golf & Country Club's three nine-hole loops in Pembroke Pines. The resort lists 6,547 yards from the gold tees; the combination pairs the more generous Sabal nine with the tighter Grand nine, where raised greens, narrower fairways and water add definition.
History: Grand Palms opened as a 27-hole facility in 1965, with the three loops attributed to Ward Northrup. The club's three-nine design has preserved a flexible routing system in which Sabal, Grand and Royal can be combined into different 18-hole cards.
Did You Know? Sabal/Grand combines Grand Palms' shortest and longest nines, a pairing that GolfPass describes as the most varied of the three combinations and that produces a par-71 scorecard.
