Gort Golf Club

Overview: Gort Golf Club is a scenic and rugged parkland course situated on the edge of the Burren in County Galway. Designed by Christy O'Connor Jr. and opened in 1996, the layout is carved out of a landscape characterized by its limestone outcrops and natural undulations. The course offers a technical and physically engaging round, where the fairways weave through mature hazel woodland and offer spectacular views of the Slieve Aughty Mountains to the east and the Burren hills to the west.

Did You Know? The course is situated on land that was formerly part of a historic estate and features several "Burren-style" limestone pavements bordering the fairways. These natural stone features are unique to this part of Ireland and provide a visually striking—and unyielding—hazard that demands extreme precision on many of the technical back-nine holes.
