Overview: Golfclub Seefeld-Wildmoos is an 18-hole high plateau mountain course above Seefeld in Tirol. Designed by Donald Harradine, The high plateau, sparse woodland, and alpine meadows give Harradine’s design a distinctive open character that changes with the weather.Seefeld-Wildmoos combines a par-72 scorecard with about 6,450 yards, while altitude and weather influence the practical challenge. At altitude, a familiar club can produce a different result, and the open plateau makes wind direction a visible part of the decision on exposed holes.
History: The club was founded in 1969. Historical material records six holes in 1970, nine in 1971, and the complete 18-hole course in autumn 1971, so the finished routing date is corrected to 1971. The finished routing came after several early stages, which is why the official anniversary material is more useful than a single inherited directory year. The 1971 date identifies the complete course.
Did You Know? The staged opening explains why references show different years. The complete 18-hole course dates from autumn 1971, while the club story began earlier. The complete 18-hole Seefeld-Wildmoos course dates from autumn 1971, although the club and first holes began earlier.
