Overview: Located in the wide, reclaimed heart of the Noordoostpolder, Golfclub Emmeloord is a bold and rhythmic 18-hole masterpiece that prizes modern strategic variety and community energy. Designed by Gerard Jol, the course features a "Links-style" aesthetic characterized by its undulating fairways, significant height differences, and large, subtly contoured green complexes that are constantly challenged by the polder winds. With its par-74 championship scale and reputation for high-caliber conditioning, Emmeloord offers a sense of frontier-style scale and high-tech adventure that feels deeply authentic to its seabed heritage.
Did You Know? The entire Noordoostpolder sits on land that was underwater until the mid-20th century, and the golf course was built on some of the town's highest "reclaimed dunes." During its construction, the club integrated several "bio-swales" that serve as a primary filtered drainage system for the surrounding agricultural community, ensuring that the course supports a vibrant population of local songbirds and flora while maintaining its status as a world-class sporting venue.
