Overview: Golfclub Dolomitengolf Osttirol ~ Blau/Rot is an 18-hole broad sunny valley floor beneath the Lienzer Dolomites. Designed by Diethard Fahrenleitner, Fahrenleitner’s broad valley layout combines open fairways, ponds, planting, and a mountain horizon while preserving a relaxed parkland scale. The Blau/Rot combination plays to par 72 over about 6,686 yards, with the flat valley and mountain backdrop defining Osttirol golf. The flat valley floor keeps the course comfortable to walk, but ponds, fairway width, and approach bunkers still create a deliberate strategic sequence.
History: Dolomitengolf was founded in 1999 and has grown into a 36-hole facility with two 18-hole championship courses. Fahrenleitner was responsible for course work and later expansion, while the ranked identity is the Blau/Rot combination. Dolomitengolf began as a 1999 facility and later grew to 36 holes. The ranked Blau/Rot combination should therefore be read as one defined course within a larger, expanding resort.
Did You Know? The 36-hole complex is the largest in Tirol by hole count. The other full routing is Gelb/Rosé, so the combination names matter when checking records. Blau/Rot is the ranked combination at Dolomitengolf; Gelb/Rosé is a separate full routing on the same 36-hole property.
