Overview: Golfclub Am Reichswald is a woodland course located in the Nuremberg Reichswald forest. The layout is carved through a pine and oak forest, featuring narrow corridors, sandy soil, and flat fairways.
History: Designed by Bernhard von Limburger and opened in 1961, the course was expanded to 18 holes in 1974. Thomas Himmel updated the bunkers and green complexes in 1988 to improve the strategic challenge.
Did You Know? The course is situated on sandy soil that was historically part of an ancient inland dune system. This provides natural drainage and a unique ecosystem where dry-pine forest plants thrive alongside the fairways.
