Overview: Located in the fertile Betuwe region, Golfcentrum De Batouwe is a sprawling 27-hole facility that draws its identity from the lush fruit orchards that define the local landscape. Designed by Alan Rijks, the course is split into three thematic nines—named after Pear, Apple, and Cherry trees—each winding through a tapestry of water hazards, bunkers, and, naturally, rows of productive fruit trees. The result is a parkland experience that is as visually delightful as it is strategically demanding, offering a quintessential regional charm that changes beautifully with the blossoms of spring and the harvest of autumn.
Did You Know? True to its name and location, the club actually harvests fruit from the hundreds of trees lining its fairways. It's not uncommon for golfers to see local harvest activity during their rounds, and the clubhouse often features seasonal dishes and juices directly sourced from the very orchards they just navigated.
