Overview: Situated in the lush, fruit-growing heart of the Betuwe region, De Batouwe is a refined and strategic 27-hole masterpiece that celebrates the diverse beauty of the Gelderland polders. Featuring three thematic 9-hole loops—Appelgaard, Kersengaard, and Perengaard—the course winds through dense orchards, past vibrant water hazards, and across open, scenic vistas. The layout is characterized by its quiet, traditional atmosphere and a strategic variety that demands accuracy through its tree-lined corridors, offering a serene and high-quality escape that feels deeply connected to the rich agricultural history of the region.
Did You Know? The club's name and its loop names ("Apple Orchard," "Cherry Orchard," and "Pear Orchard") are a literal reflection of the property's former use as a primary fruit hub. The club has meticulously preserved over 500 historic fruit trees within the course routing, and during the autumn harvest, golfers are encouraged to sample the heritage apples and pears that line the fairways, making it perhaps the most "delicious" course in the Netherlands.
