Overview: Bergvliet brings a polished resort feel to the Brabant countryside. Water is a constant visual thread, the conditioning is sharp, and the routing has enough movement and variety to keep the round lively from start to finish. It is very playable for the average golfer, yet still asks for disciplined strategy around the greens and the lakes. The whole property feels modern, open and welcoming.
History: Landgoed Bergvliet dates back to the 13th century with a long agricultural past. Originally grazing cattle dominated the landscape before golf course construction began in the early 2000s. The golf course opened in 2007 on historic grounds covering approximately 60 hectares of land. Gerard Jol and Michiel van der Vaart designed the layout to respect the existing woodland and heath-edge setting.
Did You Know? The design was carefully integrated into the existing woodland and heath-edge setting around Oosterhout. The golfbaan opened in 2007 on historic Landgoed Bergvliet, where Gerard Jol and Michiel van der Vaart shaped an 18-hole par-71 course plus a separate par-3 layout.
