Overview: The North Course at Green Eagle Golf Courses, now known as the Porsche Nord Course, is a tournament-scale layout south of Hamburg. It occupies about 86 hectares and stretches across open heath, sand and water, with strategic hazards visible from many tees. Seventeen holes bring water into play, while the long fairways and large bunkers demand both power and precision. The course is designed to look expansive, but the lines into the greens become increasingly exacting as the round progresses.
History: Green Eagle was founded in 1997 by Michael Blesch and Ralf Lühmann. The North Course reached nine holes in 2006, and its complete 18-hole routing was ready in 2008. Blesch was the founder and course designer, working with his greenkeeping team. The course hosted its first Porsche European Open in 2017 and took the Porsche name in 2018, quickly becoming one of the most recognisable tournament venues in Germany.
Did You Know? From the championship tees the official course page lists 7,057 metres, making the North Course one of the longest layouts used in top-level European tournament golf. Its scale is not accidental: it was planned for international professional competition from the start.
