Overview: Located in Sipoo, just northeast of Helsinki, Finland, the Master Course at Golf Talma is an 18-hole championship layout. Winding through dense, mature pine and spruce forests, the layout is characterized by extremely tight, tree-lined fairways, subtle elevation changes, and small, well-defended putting surfaces. The course demands absolute precision off the tee and disciplined iron play to navigate the narrow forest corridors and numerous natural streams.
History: Opened in the early 1990s as the primary championship venue at the massive 36-hole complex, the Master Course was built to establish a premier competitive test in the Uusimaa region. The layout was carefully integrated into the existing forest, minimizing earth movement to preserve the natural woodlands.
Did You Know? The course features a highly sophisticated network of interconnected lakes and streams that act as a major strategic hazard for golfers while preserving the local wildlife habitats, heavily protecting the pristine water quality of the region.
