Overview: Located in Sipoo, just northeast of Helsinki, Finland, the Laakso (Valley) Course at Golf Talma is an 18-hole parkland course. Winding through an open, rolling valley and mature pine forests, the layout features wide fairways, significant elevation changes, and large, expansive green complexes. The course demands accurate ball placement off the tee to navigate the mature trees and strategic distance control to approach the heavily contoured greens.
History: Opened in the early 1990s as the second 18-hole championship venue at the club, Laakso was built to establish Golf Talma as a premier 36-hole facility. The layout was designed to offer a more open, strategic contrast to the tighter, heavily forested Master Course, hosting numerous Finnish amateur championships.
Did You Know? The clubhouse is housed in an elegant, beautifully restored 18th-century yellow wooden manor house, providing a historic and traditional Finnish architectural backdrop for the facility.
