Overview: The Radecký Course at Golf & Spa Resort Konopiště is a large parkland layout south of Prague, set among the woods, meadows and historic grounds of the Tvoršovice estate. John Burns designed the par 72 course as a substantial championship test, with broad greens, rolling ground and a mixture of woodland and open holes. The ranked Radecký routing is one of two full 18-hole courses at the resort, alongside the d’Este Course.
History: The Radecký course opened in 2002 as part of the development of a major golf and spa destination near Konopiště château. Its name honours Václav Radecký of Radeč, the famous marshal of the Napoleonic wars and a former owner associated with the estate’s history. The resort expanded around the golf courses with a hotel, restaurants and extensive practice facilities, creating a self-contained destination rather than an isolated course.
Did You Know? Konopiště’s course names preserve two different strands of the estate’s past. Radecký recalls the marshal and former owner, while d’Este refers to Archduke Franz Ferdinand d’Este, who made the nearby château his home. The resort also includes a separate nine-hole course with par 29.
