Overview: The Rouge (Red) course at Golf de Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche is one of France's most celebrated and prestigious parkland venues. Located just west of Paris near Versailles, the course was designed by Fred Hawtree and features wide, beautifully rolling fairways lined with mature deciduous trees, large bunkers, and tricky green complexes that require precise strategy and course management.
History: Opened in 1959, the club quickly established itself as a centerpiece of elite French and European golf. It is globally famous for hosting the legendary Trophée Lancôme on the European Tour from 1970 to 2003, which attracted a star-studded field of champions including Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Seve Ballesteros, and Colin Montgomerie.
Did You Know? The club also hosted the Seve Trophy in 2009 and 2011, where elite professional players from Great Britain & Ireland faced off against Continental Europe in a thrilling match play format, cementing Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche's place in international tournament history.
