Overview: Golf de Joyenval's Marly Course is one of France's premier and highly exclusive private golf facilities, located in Chambourcy, just west of Paris. Designed by the legendary architect Robert Trent Jones Sr. and opened in 1992, the Marly course is a masterpiece of parkland design, featuring undulating fairways, massive cloverleaf bunkers, water hazards, and exceptionally fast, multi-tiered greens set against a beautiful wooded background.
History: Built on the historic grounds of the Abbey of Joyenval, which dates back to the 13th century, the club was developed to provide a world-class, multi-course facility for Paris's elite. Robert Trent Jones Sr. crafted two contrasting 18-hole courses here (Marly and Retz). The Marly has hosted multiple national events and prestigious invitational tournaments, renowned for its impeccable, tournament-level conditioning.
Did You Know? The par-3 holes on the Marly course are particularly acclaimed, requiring heroic, high-altitude iron shots over deep valleys and water hazards to heavily protected greens, reflecting Jones's signature risk-reward philosophy.
