Golf de Caen (La Plaine/Vallon)

Overview: La Plaine and Le Vallon form the principal 18-hole routing at Golf de Caen la Mer, close to Caen in the open Normandy countryside. The opening holes reward fairway discipline, while the Vallon section introduces more movement in the ground and a different visual scale.

Did You Know? The 18-hole Plaine-Vallon course was inaugurated in June 1990 and is credited to Fred Hawtree. The club’s own description makes the distinction between the two halves important, since the change from plain to valley alters both the views and the preferred lines of play.
