Overview: La Jonchère is the 18-hole course at Bussy-Guermantes east of Paris, set across a gently rolling site with fairways, ponds and broad views through the Marne-la-Vallée landscape. The outward holes are more technical around the water, while the closing stretch brings longer fairways and water back into the decision-making. The course has a modern, open feel, but its strategic interest comes from choosing the correct side of the fairway before the approach rather than chasing every flag.
History: The Bussy-Guermantes facility was created in 1989 and the course references identify Paul Rollin and Jean-Claude Cornillot as the design team. La Jonchère was the original 18-hole routing, later joined by the nine-hole La Gondoire loop. That distinction matters because the property’s 27 holes share one club but do not represent one continuous 27-hole course.
Did You Know? The French federation scorecard lists La Jonchère as par 72 and 6,034 metres, approximately 6,603 yards. The official hole sequence includes water in the closing holes, and the facility has also been associated with the development of professional players such as Grégory Havret and Romain Wattel.
