Overview: Golf Club Sokhna's B & C Course is the 18-hole El Ein Bay routing at Ain Sokhna on Egypt's Red Sea coast, not the adjoining Little Venice nine. Thomson Perrett & Lobb designed the course across gently undulating coastal-desert ground, with platinum paspalum turf, lakes and bunkering. Published back-marker information gives 6,968 yards and par 72; the 6th is a 427-yard hole played to an island green.
History: El Ein Bay opened in phases, with its first nine opening in January 2012 and the second nine following as the project was completed. In January 2015, the 18-hole El Ein Bay course and the nine-hole Little Venice layout were formally combined as the 27-hole Sokhna Golf Club complex. The B & C profile remains the original Thomson Perrett & Lobb 18-hole course within that larger facility.
Did You Know? The 27-hole site contains two different design histories: the original 18 holes at El Ein Bay are by Thomson Perrett & Lobb, while the former nine-hole Little Venice course was designed by John Sanford. The current B & C ranking label therefore describes the 18-hole TPL routing rather than the entire 27-hole complex.
