Overview: Located in San Leonardo in Passiria, South Tyrol, Italy, Golf Club Passiria Merano is a highly scenic 18-hole alpine course. Set in a wide, high-altitude mountain valley bordered by the massive Texel Group mountains, the layout features relatively flat fairways, deep natural lakes, and beautifully contoured greens. The course demands strategic distance control to navigate the numerous water hazards and the thick alpine rough.
History: Opened in the late 1990s, the course was built to bring high-quality competitive golf to the rugged alpine region. The layout was carefully routed to showcase the dramatic mountain topography, establishing a premier destination that frequently hosts regional amateur championships and serves as a major draw for visiting golfers.
Did You Know? Because the course is built deep within a steep alpine valley, players can enjoy breathtaking, panoramic views of massive, snow-capped mountain peaks and historic Tyrolean farmhouses from nearly every hole on the property.
