Overview: Situated in Valsanzibio at the foot of the Euganean Hills, the Blu and Giallo nines at Golf Club Padova form a classic parkland course. The routing plays through flat but undulating terrain, featuring over eight thousand trees and shrubs selected to create a botanical garden setting. Large sand bunkers, water hazards, and strategically contoured greens require accurate approach angles to secure scoring opportunities.
History: Opened in 1962 as Golf Club Euganeo, the original 18-hole layout was designed by British architect John Harris, who created a strategic inland test. The club was later expanded by adding a third nine-hole loop (Rosso) designed by Marco Croze. The course has hosted the Italian Open and numerous regional amateur championships, establishing itself as a premier Veneto venue.
Did You Know? The course lies adjacent to the historic 17th-century Villa Barbarigo, famous for its elaborate Baroque gardens and water maze, which shares the same scenic valley landscape as the golf corridors.
