Overview: Located in Prato, Tuscany, Italy, Golf Club Le Pavoniere is an 18-hole parkland course designed by Arnold Palmer. Set on the historic, flat grounds of a massive former agricultural estate, the layout features wide fairways, expansive sandy waste areas, and numerous deep water hazards. The course is a modern, target-style test, requiring players to hit precise tee shots to avoid the extensive lakes and navigate Palmer's massive, sculpted bunkering.
History: Opened in 1995, the course was built to establish a premier luxury competitive resort destination in the Florence metropolitan area. Palmer designed a highly strategic, American-style resort layout that contrasts sharply with the traditional, rolling terrain of the surrounding Tuscan countryside.
Did You Know? The club's spectacular clubhouse is a beautifully restored 19th-century Tuscan villa that once belonged to Leopoldo de' Medici, the Grand Duke of Tuscany, providing an incredibly historic and majestic focal point for the estate.
