Overview: Golf Resort Kunětická Hora is a premier championship venue located on a vast plain beneath the historic Kunětická Hora Mountain in Eastern Bohemia. Designed by Australian legend Graham Marsh and opened in 2007, the course is an American-style championship track characterized by its massive, clover-shaped bunkers, multi-tiered greens, and the significant influence of three large lakes. It is widely considered one of the longest and most difficult courses in the Czech Republic, especially when the region's unpredictable winds come into play.
History: Built on a 350-acre site, the resort was designed to host international professional tournaments and has regularly served as a venue for the European Challenge Tour. Its modern design and high-standard infrastructure were established to provide a world-class competitive site in the Pardubice region. The course gained significant international fame in 2013 when future major champion Brooks Koepka set a staggering course record of 62 (-10) during the Czech Challenge.
Did You Know? The course's signature feature is its extensive water system, which comes into play on six of the most crucial holes, including a daunting finish in front of the contemporary clubhouse? Kunětická Hora's combination of expansive fairways and rigorous greens requires a powerful and strategic long game, making it a favorite for advanced players and professional athletes seeking a tour-level challenge in Central Europe.
