Overview: The Lakeside Course at The Golf Club of Georgia in Alpharetta, Georgia, is an exceptionally prestigious private championship parkland layout designed by the legendary architect Arthur Hills. Winding beautifully through rolling hills and mature stands of hardwoods along the scenic shores of Lake Windward, the course features wide, flowing fairways, strategic greenside bunkers, and multiple water hazards.
History: Opened in 1991, Lakeside was designed by Arthur Hills to establish a premier private club in the Atlanta suburbs. The course quickly gained national acclaim and served as a host venue for the PGA Tour's Nationwide Championship from 1995 to 2000. In 2016, a major enhancement program modernized the bunkers and updated the greens to high-performing bentgrass.
Did You Know? The course features a unique double green shared by the ninth and eighteenth holes, creating a massive putting surface set against the backdrop of Lake Windward and the club's flagship clubhouse.
