Overview: Les Sangliers at Golf Club de Lyon is a parkland course located east of the city. The layout is set on a plateau, featuring fairways lined with mature deciduous trees and strategically placed sand bunkers. Precise shot-making is required to secure clean approaches to the subtly contoured greens.
History: Designed by Hugues Lambert and opened in 1991, the course was built to host national and international professional tournaments. The layout has served as a venue for the Open de France, testing the skills of top European players.
Did You Know? The course is named Les Sangliers (The Wild Boars) because wild boars from the surrounding forests occasionally venture onto the property at night, requiring regular turf maintenance.
