Overview: The Old Course at Prosper Golf Resort Čeladná is set in the Beskydy Mountains, with broad fairways and long views toward the surrounding peaks. Miguel Ángel Jiménez shaped a traditional parkland course that uses the natural landscape, generous green complexes and a strong sequence of hazards to create a demanding championship test. The Old Course is the more traditional of the resort’s two 18-hole layouts, while the nearby New Course has a more pronounced links influence.
History: The first 18-hole course at Čeladná opened in 2001, followed by the New Course in 2004. The resort became a major tournament venue and hosted the Czech Open and related European Tour events from 2009 through 2011. Those championships placed the Old Course in an international spotlight and helped establish Čeladná as one of the leading golf destinations in northern Moravia.
Did You Know? The Old Course’s tournament history includes a 65 by Argentina’s Tano Goya in 2009, a score still highlighted in the resort’s own historical material. The course is also part of a wider 55 Holes Golf Destination that connects the two Čeladná layouts with the 18-hole course at nearby Ostravice.
