Overview: Located in the rolling hills southwest of Bologna, Italy, Golf Club Bologna is a historic 18-hole parkland course designed by British architects Cotton and Harris. Winding across a highly undulating, wooded property, the layout features steep elevation changes, tight, tree-lined fairways, and small, severely sloped putting surfaces. The course demands pinpoint accuracy off the tee and highly disciplined approach play to navigate the severe side-hill lies.
History: Founded in 1959, the club is one of the premier classic private clubs in the Emilia-Romagna region. The course has been carefully preserved and respectfully updated over the decades, retaining its classic, British-inspired strategic values and intimate routing while hosting numerous Italian national amateur championships.
Did You Know? The club's spectacular clubhouse is perched on a high ridge overlooking the course. It offers breathtaking, panoramic views of the historic, rolling Tuscan-Emilian Apennines and serves as an elegant social center for the local community.
