Overview: The Stan Eby Course is the most relaxed-feeling of the three 18-hole layouts at Golf Club Bad Saarow, yet it still makes thoughtful golf worthwhile. Wide fairways and strongly undulating greens create a friendly first impression, while the green contours determine whether an approach finishes close or runs away. The course plays through the resort’s broad natural setting near Lake Scharmützelsee and offers a useful contrast to the more demanding Faldo and Palmer layouts.
History: Bad Saarow grew into a 54-hole golf destination with three named courses: the Faldo Course Berlin, the Arnold Palmer Course and the Stan Eby Course. The Stan Eby layout was added in the early 2000s, with 2001 widely recorded as its opening year. The current club continues to present the three courses as one resort golf experience, with each routing intended to offer a different level of challenge and visual character.
Did You Know? The club describes Stan Eby as the easiest of its three 18-hole courses. That is not because the greens are flat: their pronounced undulations are the defining feature, so a good score still depends on controlling the ball below the hole.
