Overview: Situated in the picturesque Rhine Valley in eastern Switzerland, Golf Club Bad Ragaz is a historic parkland course celebrated for its flat, park-like terrain and stunning alpine views. Designed by Donald Harradine, the course winds through a mature parkland estate framed by majestic mountains, featuring tree-lined fairways, strategic water hazards, and small, fast putting greens. The layout offers an elegant, walkable, and highly refined test of golf that emphasizes accuracy and strategic placement over raw power.
History: Founded in 1905, Bad Ragaz is one of Switzerland's oldest and most prestigious golf clubs, closely integrated with the luxury Grand Resort Bad Ragaz. The course underwent a significant expansion and modernization by Harradine to establish its current 18-hole championship layout, which has served as a proud host venue for the European Senior Tour for over two decades.
Did You Know? The course is famous for its pristine, manicured condition, which is supported by the natural thermal waters of the Tamina Gorge, used to irrigate the turf and maintain its exceptional quality throughout the playing season.
