Overview: Set among the lakes and planted spaces of Kota Baru Bandar Kemayoran, Golf Bandar Kemayoran gives Central Jakarta an 18-hole, par-72 city course. PPK Kemayoran identifies Peter Dalkeith Scott as the architect and describes two contrasting nines: the northern nine lies beside an urban forest and broad lake, while the southern nine is framed by apartments and water. The operator's 2020 brochure lists 6,024 yards, although APLGI lists a different blue-tee total of 6,324 yards; the yardage is therefore left unfilled rather than presenting conflicting tee figures as one fact. The layout is relatively flat but water features appear on many holes, so placement and risk management are central.
History: Construction began with the first nine and a 32-bay driving range, completed in 1997. The second nine was inaugurated in 2000, creating the current 18-hole course and clubhouse. The venue was developed as part of the Kemayoran new-town project and remains one of its recreation and business facilities. PPK Kemayoran describes the golf property as an urban green area, flood-control landscape and habitat for local flora and fauna. Its tournament program, including an official 2024 event, shows that the course continues to function as an active city venue.
Did You Know? Golf Bandar Kemayoran is not simply a course with a city address. Its lakes help manage water in the district, while the surrounding urban forest provides a green buffer between fairways and Jakarta's buildings. The official description singles out the peninsula-shaped water hazard at the fourteenth and the water carried or flanked on holes 8 through 11. That combination makes the course a useful example of urban golf design, where open space, drainage and play strategy have to work together.
