Overview: Golden Greens Golf Club is a destination-facing course in Sector 79 and Sakatpur, Gurugram, within the Delhi-NCR golf corridor. The club describes an 18-hole, par-72 layout measuring 7,100 yards and shaped in a links style. Its fairways run through sandy, undulating ground against the Aravalli hills, with native scrub, pot bunkers, contoured greens and wind all part of the test. Haryana Tourism describes the course as fairways carved through natural-looking dunes, while the club's location, roughly 25 kilometres from Delhi's international airport, makes it a practical round for golfers visiting the capital region.
History: Golden Greens was developed as an inland interpretation of links golf rather than on a traditional coastal links site. The current Golf Fee Card lists the club as established in 1998, while an older India golf guide gives 2001 and a 2007 report says the course had begun operating roughly four years earlier. Those dates may represent different project, club and opening milestones, so the profile keeps the current published 1998 marker and does not turn the conflicting accounts into one false precision. Martin Hawtree is the principal design credit, with Ranjit Nanda also credited in current course material. The club has hosted tournaments and built a practice and performance ecosystem around the main course.
Did You Know? Golden Greens is notable because its links character is created among the Aravalli landscape rather than beside the sea. The combination of sandy ground, exposed wind, sparse native planting and deep pot bunkers is intended to produce links-like strategy in the Delhi-Gurugram setting, making the course immediately different from the more heavily landscaped parkland layouts nearby.
