Overview: Gloria Old Course is an 18-hole parkland layout in Belek, Antalya, set among pine trees with the Taurus Mountains in the distance. Michel Gayon designed the course as a resort championship test that uses narrow, tree-lined fairways, water and carefully positioned greens to reward accuracy. The official scorecard lists par 72 and 6,529 metres. Its established planting gives the Old Course a more mature, enclosed feel than the newer parts of the Gloria complex.
History: The Old Course opened in 1997 with the Gloria Golf Resort and helped establish the property as one of Belek's early major golf destinations. French architect Michel Gayon designed the Gloria facility, which later expanded with the New Course in 2005 and the nine-hole Verde Course. The result is now a 45-hole golf complex, but the Old Course remains the original 18-hole championship routing and the historical centre of the group.
Did You Know? Gloria's official course information records six lakes on the Old Course covering about 60,000 square metres, set within a total course area of roughly 772,000 square metres. The water is not merely decorative: it affects several approach and tee-shot decisions, while the mature pine corridors narrow the visual lines. The combination gives this resort course a more tactical feel than its broad holiday setting might suggest.
