Overview: Glenmaura National is a private 18-hole course in Moosic that combines wooded ground, changing elevation and a demanding par-71 routing. The course plays to 6,890 yards and was designed by Michael Hurdzan with assistance from PGA champion Larry Mize.
History: The club was established as a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation in 1991, and the course opened in spring 1994. Its design was built to make the most of the Scranton-area terrain, with the finished routing using woodland, slopes and water movement to create variety from tee to green.
Did You Know? The 18th green sits below a cascading waterfall, with the resulting stream cutting through a double-green setting that gives the finish a particularly distinctive piece of terrain.
