Overview: The present 18-hole Willie Park Jr. layout at Glen Ridge Country Club occupies the club’s historic property in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. The club’s early history reaches back to the 1890s, while the present 18-hole layout is associated with Park’s 1918 design.
History: Fourteen charter members founded the Golf Club of Glen Ridge in 1894, first playing a nine-hole course near Ridgewood Avenue. The club later assembled a full 18-hole property, and Willie Park Jr. designed the new 18 holes in 1918.
Did You Know? Glen Ridge was among the first forty golf clubs in the United States and is believed by the club to be the fourth founded in New Jersey.
