Overview: Glasgow Hills is an 18-hole Les Furber design in New Glasgow, near the Cavendish area of Prince Edward Island. The par-72 course reaches 6,915 yards and runs across diverse, noticeably undulating terrain rather than a single flat coastal shelf. Views toward River Clyde and the Gulf of St. Lawrence are part of the setting, while the movement in the land keeps the player thinking about stance, landing area and the angle into each green. It is a course with enough visual openness to feel relaxed, yet enough elevation change to make the scorecard work.
History: The course opened in 2001 and became part of the North Shore group of PEI destination layouts that can be combined into a multi-day golf itinerary. Les Furber's design brought a contemporary championship profile to the village of New Glasgow, using the land's natural folds rather than imposing a rigid geometric pattern. Its location between Charlottetown, Summerside and Cavendish also helped make it an accessible central stop in the island's golf network.
Did You Know? Glasgow Hills is unusual on PEI for the way its setting looks in two directions at once. The course material points toward both River Clyde and the Gulf of St. Lawrence, so the round alternates between inland elevation and distant coastal scale instead of presenting one continuous shoreline view.
