Overview: General Burnside Island State Park Golf Course is a public Brian Ault design on an island in Lake Cumberland, Kentucky. Zoysia fairways, bentgrass greens, rock outcrops and water views give the parkland course a setting unlike most state-park layouts.
History: The course was comprehensively redesigned by Brian Ault and reopened in 2008. Its island setting and state-park status remain central to the experience, while the renovation refreshed bunkers and playing surfaces.
Did You Know? General Burnside Island is the only island in Kentucky's state-park golf system, and several holes reveal the site's exposed rock formations.
