Overview: Gdansk Golf & Country Club at Postolowo is a large championship course in the rolling landscape of the Kashubian Lake District. Jeremy Turner designed an 18-hole layout that combines broad, open ground with wooded edges, deep strategic hazards and long approaches. From the back tees it has a formidable scale, but the official course description also stresses that the fairways reward good shots rather than simply punishing distance. The result is a spacious, demanding course whose changing terrain gives the round a strong sense of movement.
History: Postolowo's official course profile dates the project to 1990 and identifies Jeremy Turner as its designer. The course was built to USGA standards across more than 100 hectares and developed into one of Poland's leading championship venues. Its reputation was reinforced by international team events, including European competitions hosted on the course in 2002, 2005, 2008 and later years.
Did You Know? Postolowo became known as “The Monster” after a German golf magazine used the nickname in 2004. The label reflects the course's championship scale from the back tees, including a very high course rating and slope, but it does not tell the whole story: the club describes the layout as welcoming and rewarding when played from a suitable set of tees.
