Overview: Near Chiang Mai in Ban Thi, Lamphun, Gassan Legacy Golf Club presents a full round whose main strategic question is water. The current course record gives 18 holes, par 72 and approximately 6,852 yards, with lakes and water hazards influencing many holes. Its parkland setting combines fairway corridors with a resort clubhouse, making it a different proposition from the mountain-oriented Gassan Khuntan and the lake-circuit character of Gassan Panorama. The scale is manageable for a broad range of players, but the repeated water decisions reward a disciplined game plan.
History: Gassan Legacy was formerly known as Gassan Lake City. The course underwent a complete renovation and was reborn under the Legacy name in 2014, which is why older sources may carry a different opening date and name. The redesign is associated with Schmidt-Curley, while current Gassan pages present the course as one of three 18-hole facilities in the group's northern Thailand portfolio. The profile treats 2014 as the opening of the present routing, not as the first construction date of the earlier course.
Did You Know? Gassan Legacy is part of a three-course golf group that also operates Gassan Panorama and Gassan Khuntan in Lamphun. That makes the facility useful for a multi-round northern Thailand itinerary: the player can stay within one regional operator while moving between substantially different settings and course identities.
