Overview: The Palmer Course is the longer of Furano Golf Course’s two 18-hole layouts. Prince’s back-tee card gives a par of 72 over 7,171 yards from the back tees, with a forested resort setting and the rolling terrain of the Furano basin beyond. The longer scorecard creates a more demanding championship feel, but the course remains defined by Palmer’s use of natural movement and broad Hokkaido views.
History: The Furano facility contains two 18-hole courses, both associated with Arnold Palmer in the current resort and tourism material. A stable opening year for this exact Palmer routing was not found, so none is assigned. The present profile uses the official scorecard to distinguish the Palmer layout from the shorter King layout and to avoid merging the two physical courses.
Did You Know? The Palmer Course’s back-tee total is 512 yards longer than the King Course’s current back-tee total. That difference is enough to change the rhythm of a resort round, especially on the long holes, while both layouts retain the same broad setting of forest, valleys and distant mountain views.
