Overview: The Pines is the public club’s longer 18-hole option, a par-72 routing that runs beyond 6,700 yards through an upland pine forest. Rolling fairways, pedestal greens, water carries, and Emerald Coast winds give the longer of the two city courses its identity.
History: The Pines is part of the two-course Fort Walton Beach Golf Club complex. Current operator and city material describe it as the longer, pine-forest course paired with the tighter, oak-lined Oaks layout.
Did You Know? The official scorecard notes water on the fifth, sixth, twelfth, and sixteenth holes, with the twelfth requiring a carry of roughly 140 yards to avoid rolling back into the hazard.
