Overview: Fresh Meadow Country Club is a private parkland course in Lake Success associated with Charles Hugh Alison. The layout uses tree-lined corridors, shaped fairways and traditional green complexes, with approach angles doing much of the work in a relatively compact metropolitan setting.
History: The club was founded in 1921 and its early clubhouse in Queens was rebuilt after a 1923 fire. Fresh Meadow later moved to its Lake Success property, where the current course is associated with Alison's design work and the club's long New York history.
Did You Know? The original Fresh Meadow course hosted major events including the 1930 PGA Championship and 1932 U.S. Open. Those tournaments belong to the club's earlier Queens location, not automatically to the present Lake Success routing.
