Overview: Located in Frederikshavn in northern Jutland, Denmark, Frederikshavn Golf Klub is a challenging 18-hole woodland and parkland course. Winding through a dense, mature forest of pine and oak, the layout is characterized by tight, tree-lined fairways, subtle elevation changes, and small, well-defended putting surfaces. The course demands precise ball placement off the tee and disciplined iron play to navigate the narrow forest corridors and numerous natural streams.
History: Founded in the 1970s, the course was built to establish a premier competitive venue in the Vendsyssel region. The layout was carefully integrated into the existing forest, minimizing earth movement to preserve the natural woodlands. The club has hosted multiple Danish national amateur championships.
Did You Know? The course features a massive, historic stone monument near the clubhouse that dates back to the Viking Age, providing a unique cultural and historical backdrop for players visiting the region.
