Overview: Fox Meadow is an 18-hole Rob Heaslip design in Stratford, just outside Charlottetown. The current scorecard lists par 72 and 6,806 yards from the longest tees, with broad fairway movement, mature trees and views that reach toward the rural landscape and Charlottetown Harbour. The course has the approachable scale of a community destination, but the scorecard still asks for good decisions: the long par five at the finish and the combination of trees and bunkers make the closing stretch especially important.
History: Fox Meadow opened to the golfing public in 2000 as a community-minded project associated with Simon Compton's vision for Stratford. The property changed ownership in 2018, while the course's local role continued through charity events, junior coaching and its connection to the town. Golf PEI's comparison material records the course as built in 1999, a date that likely reflects construction rather than the public opening the club itself describes.
Did You Know? The 18th is a long par five with trees to the right and bunkers to the left before the approach. That finish gives Fox Meadow a sharper final question than its welcoming atmosphere suggests, asking for both a committed tee line and a controlled second shot.
