Overview: Fox Harb’r’s current 2026 Championship Course is a deliberately temporary 18-hole hybrid, combining the links-style Ocean nine with nine heathland-style holes from the Vineyard Course. Doug Carrick and Tom McBroom’s two design languages meet in one round, moving from inland rolling contours and pond-guarded targets toward the Northumberland Strait coastline. The exact routing is important here because it is not simply the old Fox Harb’r course under a new description.
History: Fox Harb’r has been rebuilding its golf offering in stages. The resort’s redesign plan separates the future Ocean and Vineyard identities, with the 2026 hybrid serving as a one-season bridge while the wider 36-hole vision develops. The current official announcement gives May 7, 2026 as the opening date and describes the route as a rare chance to experience both contrasting designs in a single 18-hole round.
Did You Know? Two signature holes from the current hybrid show the contrast clearly: Ocean hole 16 is a downhill par three beside the Northumberland Strait, while Vineyard hole 3 crosses the corner of a pond to a defended green. The finishing hole looks across the ocean, the 17th and the coastline, making the temporary routing end with the property’s strongest landscape statement.
