Overview: The Deerpark Course at Fota Island is a premier championship parkland venue and a regular host of the Irish Open. Situated on a historic estate on the islands of Cork Harbour, the layout was significantly refined by Jeff Howes to create a world-class test of strategic golf. Characterized by its massive mature timber, significant water hazards, and its immaculate resort conditioning, Deerpark offers a grand and atmospheric round of golf in a secluded forest environment.
Did You Know? Fota Island is the only resort in Ireland to feature three distinct 18-hole courses, and the Deerpark is famously considered its crown jewel. The course's 18th hole, a technical par-3 playing directly toward the grand hotel and clubhouse, has provided many dramatic tournament finishes, and the resort remains a central hub for professional and elite amateur golf in the South of Ireland.
