Overview: The Belvelly is the second championship layout at the world-famous Fota Island Resort, featuring a unique "modern parkland" character. Also designed by Jeff Howes, the course includes significant water hazards and expansive bunkering that distinguish it from its older sibling, the Deerpark. Characterized by its wide fairways and large, technical greens, Belvelly offers a varied and equally scenic round that has matured into a premier championship test in its own right.
Did You Know? The development of the Belvelly course involved the total reconstruction of several historic holes and the clearing of dense ancient woodland to create its current expansive scale. It is particularly famous for its spectacular back-nine stretch that weaves around large natural lakes, providing a dramatic and high-stakes finish that has made it a favorite for major regional tournaments and visiting societies.
