Overview: Establish in 1889 and moving to its current site at Muiryshade in 1912, Forres Golf Club is a beautiful and historic 18-hole parkland course designed by the Open Champion Willie Park Jr. The layout was further refined by the legendary James Braid in 1923, creating a technical and visually striking test of golf. The course is characterized by its narrow, pine-lined fairways, strategic water hazards, and large, multi-tiered greens. With its spectacular vistas of the Moray Firth and the surrounding Highlands, Forres offers a serene and refined round that has maintained high standards of excellence for over 130 years.
Did You Know? The club has hosted multiple professional and high-level amateur events, including the Scottish Professional Championship. Its signature hole, the 16th, is famously known for its "Burn" which requires a precise and nerve-wracking approach to a well-guarded green.
