Overview: Forest Lake Golf Club in Apopka offers public players 18 holes by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton. Official listings give the back-tee setup approximately 7,113 yards at par 72. The course sits on Florida Ridge terrain with sandy loam, lakes, native vegetation, and no housing development intruding on the layout.
History: Forest Lake opened in 1994 and was developed as a central Florida golf destination on a large, natural-feeling tract. Its current course information emphasizes the sandy soil and ridge setting as part of the original site character.
Did You Know? The operator describes a 229-acre property with sandy loam soil, a useful detail because natural drainage and firmer ground are unusual advantages in a state better known for flat, wet golf sites.
